Tents for Parties and Events

Tents are usually associated with camping and emergency shelters for travel. In those occasions, tents are small and easy to assemble. However, there are tents big enough to seat hundreds or thousands that need large columns and frames to stand, like those used in a circus, wedding and large parties. They are ideal for such events when venue expense is a problem.

Planning for a tent party, such as wedding and cocktail, can be quite hard if you have no place to put up your tent. It is a good idea to begin with the space before choosing the size of the tent. Look for a space that you think can accommodate your guests. Small parties require only low and congested tent where food serving and a small stage will have enough space. Choose a wide terrain that provides you with the needed space.

Cocktail parties are a bit different from casual rocking parties. More space is needed for people to move with formal gestures. Allocate at least 10 square feet of space for every guest and base your choice of location and size of tent by multiplying the total number of guests. Do not neglect special spaces for serving food, putting up a stage and a bar.

A similar strategy can be used in planning for a tent wedding party, although the ambiance is a bit different. Wedding parties do not require more space for guests, as they will be sitting in major parts of the occasion. Before going for tent rentals downtown, calculate the area needed. Allocate at least eight square feet of space for every guest and provide space for the stage and the podium.

Receptions are different in that guests are expected to be livelier than in the wedding party where they would sit most of the time. Tent rentals provide larger tents and more ideal designs for this type of event. Garden parties require similar sizes of tents that can provide space for dancing and buffet table.

In going for tent rentals, choose a tent that has high elevation. Congested space can look more comfortable when the roofing of the tent is far above the head. Choose one where you can put chandeliers overhead and some more decorations. Although the size and shape of the tent can be influenced by restrictions, you are allowed to decorate the tent as extravagantly as you want.
